Autumn Tree Walk at Spring Grove Arboretum

October 12 @ 10:30 am - 12:00 pm

Join native tree and shrub expert Dr. Denis Conover to discover the wonderful world of trees at Spring Grove Cemetery. This is a beautiful time to explore the Arboretum, and we will visit some of  the champion trees too.

We will be sure to visit the estimated 250 year old  White Oak, Quercus alba, that shades famous botanist and activist Lucy E. Braun and her sister Annette Braun,a celebrated entomologist. Both are buried under this magnificent tree.  Denis will teach us how to identify our common native tree species. Please join us and bring a friend! The walk is free and open to the public.
